+ The Brass Monkey By: Don Lynch

Thought I would try something different. Not sure if I did a little too much PP?

Nope, I like the original better. I don't know the technical term but the rings now look too cold or hard.

Don,
I looked at your originals and I have to say that I now feel strongly both ways :) You have a good eye to have seen this (these) and the execution is good.

Although I'm not very keen on the use of effect filters and the like in images, there is always the occasional exception where they actually work. I think this is the case here. Nice job, Don.

Don, I prefer this one over the plainer ocean background. It's a very subjective thing. Cheers, John

Hi Don,

You are filling the frame very nicely with the rings. I think you did well with the postpocessing of the background, which leave the rings centerstage by still give some depth

cbses and JDU,

I posted the "others" view for the rings (no trees just ocean). When I decided on which one to "work on" I thought the ocean view was too plain. What do you think?

G'day Don. I also like your use of PP here. I also like the line created by the rings from front left to back right. I don't find the background too distracting as the rings are so prominent. Simple but effective idea to add to the variety in this gallery. Good one. Cheers, John

Hi Don,
I really like this shot/idea a lot. PP cropping is great. I do think the background (trees) is a bit busy and sort of detracts from the rings. This looks like one you could have a lot of fun with.
