Hi Neil,

the setup is just brilliant in it's simplicity! Thanks for sharing it with us. Great execution in your wonderful clean style.

Neil,

I was going to ask this before on the last challenge -- You don't happen to work at an Ad agency, do you? Wonderful capture. And here I thought you were having a party while doing this ;-)

This is a very impressive shot, Neil, and figuring out how to pull it off believably without using a sophisticated sound trigger is even more impressive. I'm in awe.

Yes , Gordon's got it right it is staged and the bottle is upside down and cork fixed in place!
Thanks for all your comments . Neil

Okay, Neil, in giving your photo here more thought, perhaps this was obvious at first glance to everyone but me however considering the shutter speed is too slow to capture a cork that was actually shooting from a champagne bottle, this had to be a staged setup. Right?

Not that there's anything less impressive by doing that. Actually it would be a very clever way to solve the timing problem posed by this subject. So assuming this theory is correct you would have had to photograph the bottle upside down. Right?

The pre-amble to my "Flush"... very well captured! I agree you saved the best for last!

G'day Neil, wonderful effort! Superb composition, lighting, timing and subject that nails the theme. You should probably be having a think about a subject for C14! :o) Cheers, John

Oh my! Most excellent, Neil. This is a real corker! Saving the best for last? ;-)
How did you time this so well?

Well done, Neil. Just at the right moment and fit the theme to the T.
Cheers

Thanks for the comments. I just wanted to say that there was very little PP'ing done, not that I'm against PP'ing.
Guest 01-Aug-2004 22:14
Great shot, methinks very PPed but well done for concept, lighting, composition etc and very much 'impulse of energy'.

Good catch! Hope you didn't have to shoot too many before you got this one. One doesn't want the 'product' to go to waist or is that waste... hummmm
