I really find this shot to be visually interesting. When I open to the first screen of this gallery, my eye seeks out this photograph over all others. It reminds me of ancient ruins, artifacts from a past culture...perhaps Mayan, or Asian. I think it is the inclusion of so many tiny details, providing a proper sense of rhythm. Each rail could be a bridge over tiny factories with orange smokestacks.
Well, sometimes the imagination just runs riot!

David, I like this image in spite of no diagonals or tracks leading off into the distance. I find it a nice materials study. It feels like HEAVY iron to me and the horizontal, static yet graphic compostion help convey that heavyness. It definitely says tracks to me. I do have a couple ideas that I think could make it work better. If you would care to discuss them, please email me.

Hi David, to me the outcome of the shooting against subject came out to be too much obvious! Close-up of the train tracks did not bring about that so called "wow feeling" I'm always looking for, probably shooting from another angle would have rendered a bit more interesting shot...how about trying it diagonally? Just my thoughts! Cheers, Feri
