2012 was personally/professionally trying in ways that '99, '04, and '08 weren't

Made moreso in that I was unable to escape for any duration to "get right." By ACL-fest in October, I felt there was a shift coming, but F1 in November showed, I still needed uninterrupted hours of just me in survival mode. In the swamp, in the mountains, just driving, whatever.

my{dsmbr}2012 is the snapshot-blog of how I rebounded on a road trip from coast to coast, by planes, trains, and automobiles as through the eyes of an iPhone5 or cheapo L26 Nikon. In some ways, they are the glimpses into my mind when I can get it to shut down and focus on just the now, just the horizon. So, what captivated me is in the pictures: the short captions are there only as a guide, take nothing from them but what they say.

My thanks are to my enablers - my friends and family along the way. Specifically - my maternal grandmother Oma, my friend Bryan (He sold me his car, his pride/joy), my brother Phil and his family, my college roommate/longtime close friend Marc and his family, my friend Travis (travelling in the opposite direction between his USN duty stations), and 'course my 'twin brother'/partner-in-crime(s) Drew. Without these people supporting/facilitating, this would never have happened, and been as great as it was for me.
