These are really beautiful photos, especially those of my City, San Francisco, and of your mom. I came upon them after reading your comment on a blog about BBM. Best.

hey dude rockin' pictures of Pakistan, it's nice to be reminded of where my parents came from (from England). Lol at the thought of an American in Pakistan though.

Was in the USA (mainly cali and nyc), loved it!!!

just wondering if you use a a tripod when you shoot at 200mm (28-200) during the day at all. thanks
Jiri Brancik 18-Oct-2005 22:29
Mr. Horner, I would like to ask you, if Nikkor 28-200 is quality lens. I intend to buy D70s and I dont know which glass with it. Im not professional, but sometimes I use photos for my job (webdesign). Now I have Minolta A1 with 28-200, but this camera has got bad AF due to lens. So Im affraid to trust it. But on the other hand, I dont like exchanging lenses, so this nice zoom attracts me. Which experience do you have? Thank you very much.
John 28-Aug-2005 17:31
I enjoy viewing your photos.

One thing that I noticed is that you used the Nikkor 28-200 D lens quite often. Any particular reasons?

I really.......really enjoyed your all pictures. I am a Pakistani-American and living here from last 24 years.I am going to Pakistan with my kids this summer and they don't know what kind of toilet will be in Pakistan. I was searching the internet and came across your pictures.Although most of the Pakistani toilets are modern like here, but i want my kids to be ready for all kind of situations. One friendly advice post a detail comment under every picture. keep on doing the great work.

Greetings Jeff!

Thanks very much for your comments on the Daisy image in my PAD gallery. Your comments were quite flattering considering the amazing eye for composition you yourself have...your work speaks for itself. Thanks again, much appreciated!

Hi Jeff, ive really enjoyed looking at your photo's and was wondering if you would be able to help me, i am from the UK and am running a small record label specialising in warm electronic music and would love to be able to use two of your shots for cd sleeve designs. but unfortunately im not in the position to be able to pay as i dont even make any money myself apart from to fund the next release!! but would credit you for them on the sleeve including any info you would like. it would be another great source of exposure for you and at the same time giving my sleeves a fantastic look!
if you could please email me for a chat then i could send you the designs to have a look.
or even to say no thanks, :( keep up the great work

Mr. H: it was SO nice of you to leave an 'encouraging word' on my 'morning coffee' picture, especially since you are so accomplished in this field. I love that 6th Ave shot. I think you notice the small things...and capture them nicely.

Jeff, thank you for visiting my galleries and your comment on my jet image. I hand hold my zoom lens (except for the moon shot) because I have little ones running around and a tripod becomes more of a liability than an asset. I also had to sharpen it up somewhat in PS.

Jeff,

You've got so many good pictures in your 'Favorites' gallery, yet the number of pages they're displayed on may become a little daunting -- especially if you keep taking pictures and find more favorites! You might try consolidating them some into favorites by subject? Just a thought. Regardless, I really enjoyed my visit.

Thanks for sharing.

Paul yet again 29-Mar-2004 16:18
do people stumble across pbase galleries? or come to it in flocks to look at the galleries? or will only people you email get to see this? pretty cool either way
Paul again 29-Mar-2004 16:16
the guestbook doesn't seem to be showing subject lines-- I asked in my subject line where you were when you took that aerial picture of 6th avenue?
Paul Doherty 29-Mar-2004 16:14
can you get closer in to the el dorado apt building across central park and see if any of the high-profile residents are doing anything untoward?

why aren't there any florida pictures? hope your mom and bob had a lovely time down there...

beautiful pictures-- I'd like to see some commentary on some of them
