BROWNING 1919 A4 .30

Picked this up a few years ago and it was in rough shape.

It was scratched up pretty bad and I did not have access to a sandblaster or parkerising solution at the time.

So I tried something else.

Hello Can you do me a favour and send on ratman1809@o2.pl main external dimensions of this gun (only gun = not tripod esecially barel lengh ad diameters). I try to find it in internet but "uncle google" doesn't help :P

Unfortunately we had a magazine for it (I`m not sure what one - 20 or 40 round), that we lent to a "friend" that also had a ZB26 (without a magazine). This "friend" sold his gun with our magazine. So far, I have no magazine for it. Last month, i bought another Browning 1919 (.308 Win.), and a Browning M2 .50 BMG (new!). The guy who I bought it from has another 3 for sale (one anti-aircraft, one is watercooled, and the other, is an original prototipe with 3 diferent barrel/cooling units (three in one!). I am hoping to by the others soon. In Brazil, there are only 13 registered .50 caliber machineguns in the hands of civilians. One is mine!

Christian, Did your father have any 7*57 40 round magazines or 20 round magazines with the ZB26? I'm looking for the 40 round magazines for a project.

Very good job! The work you have done on your guns has inspired me to restore a couple of mine own. I to own a Browning 1919A4, and a Czech ZB26 (very similar to the Bren), in 7x57mm caliber, that my father acquired a few years ago at an auction done by the Brazilian army, when they where getting rid of their old armament. I own a couple of old Hotchkiss machineguns, in 7x57mm, that where also used by the army, several years ago, here in Brazil. Anyway, after seeing your splendid work, I am starting to think about “reviving” a couple of my guns, which need it. Ps.: Unfortunately the old guns owned by the army, are no longer auctioned, due to some new “politically correct” laws that us, Brazilian firearm owners are having to put up with.
