Ani and I went to the Wildlife Safari [ http://www.wildlifesafari.org ] in Winston, Oregon by Roseburg. We were ready to come home and decided to take a 6 hour side trip to Crater Lake to see Wizard Island. We used Highway 138 East. 138 follows the Umpqua River, this is near where the Biscuit Fire is burning (yes, it is STILL burning, 500,000 acres so far, largest forest fire in the USA). The haziness at the lake is caused by all the smoke in the air. It sure makes (the smoke) pretty sunsets though, don't you think?
