The juvenile SoyTong (< 10 years of age) was moved into the enclosure together with NomPhong.
Sniffing each other is a typical bonding behaviour, and we were all so glad to see
that he was accepting the older female - maybe as a mother figure? In the wild,
young elephants grow up in a herd of females, and strong obnds are formed between
the youngsters and all the other older females.
