Ugyen Choeling in the Tang Valley sits on a hilltop above the end of the road and is only accessable by a foot path up the mountain. The view from there is lovely over terraced fields with the river far below.
I stayed at the Ugyen Choeling Manor, a private property,for 2 days hiking the surrounding villages. The temple and monastery here date back to the 14th century.
