I was looking for a great picture of Eidelweiss to use in my son's ancestor project, but this is so beautiful, I am also inspired to use it in my French class (I teach French to middle school students) along with the clip of Maria signing "The Hills are Alive" to show my students what the Alps look like and the flowers which grow there - thanks for the inspiration!

It's great to see the beauty of the flower which has captured our hearts in a song with the same title. My father is a big fan of the Sound of Music. Recently I have downloaded the song for my mom and dad's collection of hits. It is but an overwhelming feeling to hear and feel the songs true meaning. "Bless my homeland forever"

My neice is 50 next week, and knows the dialogue of "The Sound Of Music" practically by heart (she says she is sad). I have made her a package of presents allied to the film, and this picture is beautiful, and will have pride of place. Thank you.

I was looking for the words of the song "Eidelweiss" and I happened to reach this page. I did not know that the flower being sung about in one of my all time favourites is a joy to see. You see, there is no eidelweiss in Fiji. But I am downloading a copy because I have a feeling of patriotism just looking at it.

I'm downloading this picture of the Eidelweiss flower for an older lady friend (86 years) who is from Germany and has a pretty dried up little Eidelweiss flower pinned to her wall. I'm hoping also to find some seeds so she can try and grown some.
