Dogs

I love dogs. I especially like training them and photographing them. I typically keep a pair of German shepherd dogs and have lots of friends that keep dogs.

What kind of dog is Cree? My dog looks almost identical and I've been trying to figure out his breed. Nice shots too!

I love your photography of these dogs. I wish i was good at photography, because i have been fostering dogs for about four years now, and ive had between 20-30 foster dogs from "New Hope Dog Rescue." I appreciate how difficult it is to train a dog (or 30). When i look at these photographs it reminds me of myold foster dogs, Thank you for the galleries. Really good job Mr. Plonsky.

Will try to make this as short as possible. We got a pure black german shepard as a pup. Had a number of shepards, but this guy was not going to be anything but the alpha. We did everything we could, piled on him, held his scruff, etc. etc. but he would shake and growl and bare his teeth. It was heartbreaking. Had a pro trainer come in and give us tips but he would not give up his place. Finally, since we had a grandchild living with us, we were concerned she would get hurt. We called the police to see if they would want him, he was an expensive purebred german g.s..
They came out right away and were thrilled silly. He graduated with full honors after missing the first 2 weeks. Went to southern Minnesota and had over 25 apprehensions to his credit in no time. Never seen a more intense or focused dog. We could throw a handball against the cabinets and he would catch them without a bounce no matter the speed or angle. He is still a successful officer now. We got another g.s. who we love and is happy to not be the alpha. My wife is alpha, then the dog, then our cat, our other cat, then me. Just wanted to share what had been a terrible story that turned out wonderful. We miss him and have seen him a few times since. He is very happy getting to bite people and bark and growl all he wants. He tells the other dogs that he came from a dysfunctional home that would never let him bite or growl. Wish I had a photo to send but he was pre-digital.

Hi Mark - what kind of GS is Schatze? I have one almost exactly like him but the breeders did not know where his different looks came from. His grandsire was a $40k show dog from Germany but he didn't look like this. Beaut shots mate!

Great gallery. You have a very nice touch with dogs. Cree, being black, would be tough to get detail on but your shots are dead on.
