A Cedar Twist

Harvested in December 07. I worked it over and over after it dried out-and it was the ugliest thing I ever saw. I almost threw it away several times. I finally decided to mix up some of my home-made aniline dye and it seemed to find the sweet spot. After dyeing, I hand rubbed and steel wooled in six coats of Watco Danish Oil, and then three coats of Tru Oil Gunstock finish. On top is a genuine turquoise cab mined in Nevada, and some wood burning. I am truly fond of this one!
