Donington's final MotoGP produced the seasons most unpredictable race so far. It was a crazy race from start to finish. Colin Edwards lost 9 places on the start but came through the field (beating team mate James Toseland again) to take second place. Randy de Puniet stayed on his bike for once and finished in third spot.. Top honours went to Andre Dovizioso, who for many laps was tucked up behind race leader Valentino Rossi. Sustained pressure from the Repsol Honda rider and an ever damping track saw the 'Doctor' crash out gifting 'Dovi' his first ever MotoGP victory. MotoExpress guests stayed at the elegant Breadsall Priory country club and Spa hotel which was just a short 35 minute transfer to the circuit, though it took a little longer returning on Sunday! Donington's wonderful track layout and fantastic spectator viewing areas will be sadly missed when the MotoGP moves to Silverstone in 2010.
