I enjoyed your recent addition, the water birds of San Jose. I am trying to learn bird names of those I see locally, and your work is great way of doing that. Look forward to more!

Michael:

As one who has taken photos longer than you have lived, since I was 8 and I am 91 and a graduate of RPI Class of '39, I think that your photos are great and although my claim to fame is that I took a photo of Albert Einstein 70 years ago (on my web site) I missed a chance to go on a Safari and will be looking for your Animal photos. Mine have only come from a zoo. I am Alumni Correspondent for my Class of '39 and am sorry that you have to give up the fine work that a Correspondent does, as graduates of all classes look forward to what we say.

Hi, I enjoyed viewing your photographs; especially the Galapagos ones as we are going there in 3 weeks. I am a villagers resident and was playing golf on the short nine on Monday. Do you know what the white bird is that was diving into the lake over and over that day. I can't find it anywhere in my bird book. Thanks. Lia

Great pictures Mike. We live in Mill Valley, in Marin. Love nature. Although I have traveled most of the world, I love the American West most, particularly the national parks. We go to Grand Teton, Yellowstone and Glacier every year, partly to see the wilelife there. Just returned from Death Valley. We are quite accomplished oil painters.

These photos are so extraordinary, especially when one can see the magnificent details that are apparent when they are maximized. I wonder how I never saw before, so much beauty around me. And I wonder how you have been able to capture those images. It's as if the birds stood still and posed for you.

Mike,
Enjoyed the remarkable photos. Are you searching for the Ivory-billed woodpecker?
ellenhaas 13-Aug-2005 14:35

Very nice set-up. I enjoyed viewing all of your galleries and seeing how your photographic skills are improving. You have a good eye for capturing the expression/attitude of your animal/bird shots. I also found it helpful that you put a message with the pictures to identify the animal/bird/flower. Keep up the good work :).
