Nature has provided these birds with unbelievable protection and tolerance for the extreme temperatures they must withstand.
Many times the photographer and his equipment will not endure the extreme temperatures the Snowy Owl will if shooting outside their vehicle and not using some other device such as a blind for protection from the elements or cumbersome heavy winter clothing.
