Collegiate Church of San Pedro, Lerma

Lerma, Spain view map

The most remarkable building in Lerma is the collegiate church of San Pedro,
which overlooks the Arlanza river. It dates from the beginning of the 17th century
and is connected to the Ducal Palace through a projecting passage. Although the
exterior appearance is quite austere, inside there is a valuable praying statue of
archbishop Cristóbal de Rojas y Sandoval, the duke's uncle. The 1616 organ
found there is one of the oldest in Spain.

A beautiful wide angle of this gorgeous church, Chris. I like the inclusion of the people that show how the sheer size of the entrance door and how big the church is. I also like the slight orange glow of the stonework and the greenery of the manicured hedges.VVV
