‘Perceive with the nose’ and savour the whiff of freshly-baked bread, Lacock Lardies, carrot cake and chocolate cookies as you meander the lower streets of Lacock down towards St. Cyriac’s Church and drift into the Bakery courtyard. Wander your thoughts into the secret garden down to the stream where the ducks lie sleeping. Eat with relish the hot pasty as you go. Take home a five-seeded cottage loaf baked with care or a sun-dried tomato cob to eat at will. Spiky brown hedgehogs are the fave with the children and don’t forget the sugar mouse!
