Paro's downtown area is composed of several streets of stores, restaurants,
and living quarters. Children play in a town square and shoppers enter
mostly unlit stores to make their purchases.

Notice the decorative paintings on the buildings and the carved motifs on
the columns. Every structure in Bhutan is decorated this way but not for
beauty or a personal statement; art is for communication with the spirits.
