Mostly Bangkok. I am really drawn to this frenetic city but man is it hot! I just adore the place though and our 2006 visit was 10 days. We had a beautiful B & B right on the super busy Chao Phraya river that gave us a marvelous close-up of the daily life that thrives on the river and exposure to a real neighborhood instead of one of the hotel ghettos. Eating in Bangkok is always a highlight, but so is wandering the streets, visiting the markets and the Temples. Using the ferries to travel out from our riverside neighborhood each day was a special treat. We did eventually get out of Bangkok for a couple days to go upriver to the ancient royal capital of Ayuthaya. This little town was very nice and much slower paced. The remains of the massive capital are well preserved in park like grounds and it's easy to get around on bicycle, highly recommended.
