Angkor Wat, Cambodia

The Temple of Angkor Wat was dedicated to the Hindu God Vishnu by King Suryavarman II, who reigned between AD 1131 and 1150. The Temple was constructed over a period of 30 years, and illustrates some of the most beautiful examples of Khmer and Hindu art.
In 1992, the UNESCO World Heritage Committee declared the monument, and the whole city of Angkor, a World Heritage Site.

Cambodia is one place I would like to visit at some stage; I have seen so many movies about this country that seems to bear very rich culture and heritage perhaps only compared to Africa. Your pictures are excellent and certainly a good attraction for those planning to visit. Great features Monica, by all means!

I will be in Ankor Wat in January and your pictures have us quite excited; I hope our pix are half of yours ! great job of capturing the place.We can't wait !
