How odd... I am in the tyler area and was looking for how to's on granit tile counter tops and edging and I ran across this. Which fabrictor did the bullnose for you? That really gave it a nice professional look. Great job!

Thank you so much for the great compliment :) Yes DH (not I) did these counters himself. He did everything in the kitchen remodel except the wallpaper. I get asked this question a lot and always reply directly to the person who asked but I never get a reply so I'm not sure if my answers are being received. So, I'll post here in hopes that you'll return. This granite (Baltic Brown) was purchased at a local flooring store in Tyler, Tx. It's very common. After DH marked the tiles to be bullnosed (rounded edges) he took them to a fabricator to be bullnosed and polished. This is a difficult process and one has to be equipped with the proper tools. The price for this was $7 a linear foot.
ps...Home Depot will have Baltic Brown granite. Be sure and check the tiles before you purchase them. This granite can have a pinkish/reddish cast to it. Find some that are "clear"...true colors with out an overall color cast.
Good luck!

Hi there, I can't believe you actually did this countertop yourselves...it looks gorgeous and so professional....where did you buy this type of granite and how did you get the bullnose edging? Our floor is exactly like yours, we bought ours at home depot and did it ourselves... and we'd love to be able to find this style granite to match...Please help us? Thanks Lisa
