Recently I took a day trip to New York solely for the purpose of photographing the Big Apple. I was born and raised in New York; my wife and I moved to Pennsylvania in 1974. I haven't been back in Manhattan for a while and I was missing that experience. Hence the day trip. I arrived early in the day and left mid-afternoon. Don't know how many miles I walked but I did cover a lot of ground. I ranged about 12 city blocks north and south of the Port Authority Bus Terminal and about three blocks east and west. The weather ranged from dark and rainy to bright sunshine giving me a range of conditions to work with. Great!
All the photos were taken with a Nikon D700 with the Nikkor 28-300mm f3.5-f5.6 lens. This trip definitely called for one lens, one camera.
