This was the last day of the Fair. In fact, the last few hours of the Fair. I spent about three and a half hours from about six to nine thirty photographing this event. I confined myself to one camera and one lens (Nikon D700 with the Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8. I wanted to be as inconspicuous as possible. It was a great opportunity. The subjects were appropriate for either color or B&W and I had that in mind for the entire time I was there. This is a great piece of Americana. Fun on a Saturday night in the summer.

Nothing more American than the county fair in the Summer! Great shots! Thanks for sharing. How did the D700 perform for you? What software for post did you use? Thanks! Maybe one day I'll be able to capture amazing images like yours.
