Traveling Camera Odyssey - 2004

The traveling cameras are a couple of single-use cameras, one digital, and one film, that are on an odyssey that will take them around the world to various members of the Nikon SLR forum at DPReview.com. Their travels will take them to 25 photographers in six countries, covering over 34 thousand miles. At each stop along the way, there will be one, and only one photograph taken with each camera. When the cameras finally return to St. Paul, MN, the images will be developed and posted for all to see. In the mean time, the photographers will record images of the cameras in various locations while in their possession. Once the images have been shot, the cameras are forwarded to the next person on the list. The goal of this adventure is to have a little fun and not to take anything,including the images, too seriously. This album will serve as a record of this adventure. I thinkit's great. I like the idea I have done other things like it. as far as the one saying it is a rip off many ideas are duplicated but that doesn't mean it's a rip off. Bill and the crew aren't making money with this just having fun. And as Bill said enjoy life and stop worrying so much.

EJK, I'm not sure why your undies are in a bunch..... nobody ever said this was original and I would hardly say "rip-off". This kind of thing has been going on for years, I'm sure it was not an "original" idea by those at the Argus Collectors group either. If I were you, I'd spend a little more time enjoying life and less worrying about things like this.

For some reason, it took 7 days to get from Roermond to Zurich, a distance of about 400 miles. Apparently poor mail delivery is not limited to the USA ;). In any event, Thomas tells me that the cameras should be on the way to Australia 3/9 and he will have the photos to me for posting at the same time.
