Willemstad

Willemstad, The Netherlands

A light beacon is believed to have stood here in the 17th century. An earlier iron skeleton tower build in 1820 was destroyed during World War II. The current lighthouse was build in 1947 and was decomissioned on 6 januari 1989. It has been turned into a museum about the lighthouse history of Willemstad.
