Built in 1858–1859 on the largest rock of the Stones reef.
The lighthouse is approximately 300 metres (980 ft) off Godrevy Head on the eastern side of St Ives Bay, Cornwall.
I spent a lot of time on Godrevy point this summer and last, it's one of the few locations in the world where a very, very rare plant grows so if you'd been there a couple of months ago, you'd have seen me kneeling in the heather with my measuring equipment!
