Glenwood Canyon is located about 2 hours west of Denver, CO along Interstate 70. This was one of the last sections of Interstate 70 to be completed. Interstate 70 twists through the canyon blending in as much as possible. The road features several viaducts and tunnels. There is a recreational trail along the entire length of Interstate 70 in Glenwood Canyon. Rest Areas along the route provide access to the Colorado River as well as trails such as the one to Hanging Lake.
