GALLERY:: Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende ::2005

In October and November of 2005 my wife, some friends and I returned to central Mexico to revisit San Miguel and see Guanajuato. We planned the trip to be there for the Day of the Dead preparations and celebration. The Gallery image - the distorted view of San Miguel - was chosen specifically because I wanted to show that I am aware that my view of the culture has to be distorted because I am not of the culture. As always, I hope that I have shown, through my images, the respect I feel for the people we visited. There will be two more galleries here from this trip: one will focus just on Day of the Dead and the other on the Virgin of Guadalupe.
