It amazes me that I keep discovering parts of California that I haven't visited before. The McCloud River south of Mt. Shasta was an extremely pleasant find. It has three beautiful waterfalls and offers wonderful canyons. Apparently the Hearsts knew about this river since one of their retreats - not as grand as Hearst's Castle - is on the banks of the McCloud River. |
