Hunan Restaurant
Shanghai, China September 2007

One of our group likes really spicy food (Phil) so we settled on this restaurant. The food was spicy, but not much else. Probably the worst restaurant (for me) on the trip.

In retrospect, we should have followed Phil up those stairs, but, then, there wouldn't have been a story to tell and a picture to take. You took that lemon and made lemonade!!!!

As I recall, it was pretty dreadful for me as well, spicy or not. Lots of little chopped up bones in my Kung Pao Chicken. Let it be said that I did not choose this place. (In fact, I had eagerly bounded up the stairs of an earlier choice, only to reluctantly come back down again and follow our little group to this place.) Hey, you got an incongruous image out of it, right?
