This makes me regret that I didn't stay an extra day. It looks like it was a gentle dawn giving clarity to the diverse layers and contours of the Alabama Hills.
Not just layers of light, but layers of geology as well, not to mention colors. It is a veritable layer cake of stone with a sprinkling of snow in the middle.
