Phil Douglis working the scene trying to make an image. (He was muttering about dunes the whole time.)

Tim, great combination of photography and journalism. Those of us who have heard Phil muttering at times like this can find the belly laugh of the story, and the beauty of the photo. To me it speaks of the quintessential Phil, totally focused on the shot. Additionally it is a great composition telling the story of a single man in a very large valley. And if no one else has noticed, I can't find Phil's footsteps to his current position. I really like this photo independently for each of theser reasons. Voted.

I had a hunch you were up to something down there -- and yes, I am still muttering about these dunes. Beautiful scale incongruity again, Tim. I would like to add this one to my "As others see me gallery as well." Thanks. Phil
