I was told a story about this statue of the Virgin. Apparently the statue was originally for sale in this small shop and someone came in an stole it. The woman called the police who got there almost right away and chased the thief. They caught him and returned the Virgin to the shop. The Virgin was, then, no longer for sale and is on a small altar to protect shop. |
