Probably the most moving image I've seen of the Day of the Dead. Not only is the loss of a child particularly painful, but when you see life and death juxtaposed in this way, the effect is shattering. Kal is right -- given the appropriate context, this image is as strong an expression of loss as I've seen.
The nature of the image within the image is disturbing...no adult is mentally set up for the death of a child....this is a graphic image of a great loss...
