Thank you for putting words to part of what I was feeling - yes "tenderness" is there. I think the sense of tenderness in accented by the curve of the trunk and it provides a backdrop for the lit leaves.

I really like the simplicity and "tenderness" in this photo - it has a ceratin gentleness. (And I have a weakness for backlit leaves.)
