What I love about this shot is the fact that you dont actually see Lower Yosemite Falls just the rapids and the rainbow but with the tree sillouette in the foreground plus the colors of the rainbow it falls into place nicely in all aspects.
Tim... This is probably one of my most favorite places to photograph, and maybe one of the least known with the rainbow only lasting a short time. Amazing when it is a great snow pack and the falls are pounding with water!!! You really caught the essense and feeling of the place...Awesome!!! ~V~
The rainbow makes the picture as a transition between the creek and the delicate background beyond it. This abstract shot leaves much to our imagination. Is that a forest beyond the rainbow? Or is that the face of a rock wall? The more we look, the more we wonder.
