Great angle communicating a feeling of space and dwarfing this lone museum goer. The space overwhelms him as I'm sure the museum has. At least he found a place to sit and wait.
I see not only loneliness but fatigue! With that huge room signifying the hugeness of the museum, I can just imagine how tired the man must be feeling. Perhaps his feet hurt. The largeness of the space around him and your angle suggests the sheer size of the place to me.
I think this also speaks to the choices a photographer makes - because this image was made in the DeYoung Museum - probably the opposite of sterile, empty, barren and desolate.
Your perspective strengthens the sense of loneliness that grips this image. The figure dwarfed in scale and the environmental context is sterile, empty, barren, desolate. Outside of that, I hope he is enjoying his day.
