Loneliness is another Timesque staple -- and this image certainly lives up to its title. The image is rich in romantic color, feathery cloud formations, and of course scale incongruity and abstraction. I love the anchor provided by the reflective puddle at lower left -- it picks up the clouds in both the earth and the sky. The Golden Gate as context adds still another dimension. Here, within sight of a great city, man stands alone, in awe of the natural world.
