I grabbed these images (somewhere?) off the Web. My intent was to sharpen and normalize them appropriately to level the playing field. Flatbed scanners (in this case the Epson V700) always need more aggressive sharpening.
Whoever originally did the Epson scan used 'Digital Ice' and this provided the cleaner results.
