A number of times I have found myself doubting and thinking and rethinking
when people asked me what my favorite place, in my photographic life, is up to now.
Well.... these days are over.
I can now say wholeheartedly: Fanal on Madeira.
Fanal is a place on the plateau of Paul da Serra in the North of the island.
It is popular with the locals as a picnic spot. Jee, I am jealous!
The landscape is filled with old laurel trees, some of them are more then 500 years old.
When the fog comes in, this place is like a magical forest.
Words nor photos can describe its beauty. Luckily I have my memories.
So.. from now on Fanal is my very own dreamplace!
