A touch of winter
It was cold and it was white, finally!
These mute swans had spent the icy night in a hole in a frozen lake.
After their daily waking up rituals they used the snowy ice
as their flight path for taking off into the polder.
To see them fly away was quite a spectacle for me.
I can still hear the impressive sound of their wings.
They are big, a bit comical, and yet so elegant.
I love them, and I hope for more shots in the future!...
