July 19-21, 2002 - Re'Kom-Poz' - Squamish Valley
Some pics Ed & I took one week prior. |
Welcome to beautiful Mile 36. A view from the edge looking north |
looking south - shows how high the water was on Thursday |
If you go straight instead of into the main area, there is a small clearing at the end |
This is the smaller sandy clearing at the end of the road |
Another angle of that sandy clearing |
If you turn right, this is the tightest spot... on the way to the main area |
I think this is another view of the main road |
After you enter the main area, to your right is the totem circle. There is a fire pit in the middle. |
If you look left ahead a bit, this is where the usual main dance area is, close to the edge, across from the totem circle |
Walking up a bit further & looking back towards that usual dance area 1 |
A bit further there is a small road that goes to the right, towards the outhouses. Less cars can fit here. |
General look of the woods around there |
Walking further on the main road, you will go back up towards the water, and enter a second area. |
second area - dome should be able to fit here. Quieter area, less car camping, more walk-in. |
gratuitous picture of me & my man ed! |
