Exhausted from walking, jet lag and little sleep, we started the day like any other, with more walking. Today we gave ourselves a little break by taking the subway to the Arc De Triomphe. It was Armistice day and they were setting up for the ceremonies, so we barely made it to the top after climbing 400+ stairs in a spiral staircase. From the top there is a terrific panoramic view of the city. From the Arc De Triomphe we walked up Kleber Ave towards the Eiffel Tower after stopping at a café for a coffee. From the top of the Eiffel Tower there is of course another terrific panoramic view of the city. As the day was coming to a close and the promise of an early night we took the boat taxi up the Seine River towards Notre-Dame. After Marco spent much time looking for the perfect restaurant, with the right ambiance, he finally settled on a little place with outside dining. We had another fantastic dinner and more French wine. After dinner we went back to the flat to pack for the early morning departure to Florence.
