Your images of the Dominican Republic bring back so many wonderful memories for me. I'm always amazed at the dichotomy of that island, two countries. On the Western half, Haiti... among the 3 poorest countries in the world, anarchy where the law of the bigger guns rules, hell on earth. On the Eastern half, paradise... the Dominican Republic, where tourism is strong and where there are so many 5 stars resorts etc..... all on the same island !
