Best resolution with D70

Resolution test result under the name "N70-200VR_100_40_YB6_cpp" shows the highest figure measured with D70 so far. It even outperforms primes like 50mm f/1.4, 50mm f/1.8 and 85mm f1.8.
It was done with Nikkor 70-200 VR at 100mm f.l. and f/4.0. Second best figure measured was shot with Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 EX DC zoom at 18mm f.l. and f/4.5 aperture.

I will, I will, Bugphoto :) Let's make it straight: 85/1.8 is a great lens (as the matter of fact, I've actually bought it an hour ago after using it for two weeks) and photos made with it are extraordinary. BUT, it's not the king of resolution. It has slightly less res than both 50s, but not by much. On the other hand, it beats 50s in CA, contrast and colour rendering. And I believe 85/1.4 beats them all.... Regards, Miljenko

Wow! Very unexpected. Even sharper than Nikon 85/1.8 AFD? This lens in my own (less rigid) test is sharper than a micro-Nikkor and 28/2.0 AI, all at f/5.6. Can you provide more plots between 18-50/2.8 and 85/1.8? Thanks.
