Old Firetruck

Oakland Museum, Oakland, CA

This American LaFrance two-horse pump was the pride of Oakland Engine Company #4 in 1898.
It could pump 1500 gallons of water a minute and was retired in 1921.
In April 1906 this engine did cross the bay to help fight the great fire caused by the big quake.

Is that a real street light/sign? You'd think even back then, little boys would have thought of it as a target when throwing stones.
