Linda (and all) - Not exactly sure how it works, except that each pilot has these backpacks - it kind of gives them a seat while they're up. It looks especially awkward on the double like this, where it looks like hers (in front) is completely under her. No, they don't land on these - they land gently on their feet. They kind of stretch out of this "seat" on landing and put their feet on the ground.
