Bandelier National Monument

The ruins found here in Frijoles Canyon, New Mexico, are from the ancestors of the Pueblo people known as the Anasazi. "Anasazi" is Navajo for "the people who are not us." It is believed they lived here starting in the late 1100s for about 400 years.
