Saxman Village in Ketchikan

Tlingit Indian Village - established 1894, named for school teacher Samuel Saxman, lost in 1886 while scouting for a new location for the people of Tongass and Cape Fox villages. These totems comprise the world's largest collection. Includes poles from Pennock, Tongass and Village Islands and Old Cape Fox Village.
