In some cases I needed to add material to mount the slide switches under the head block ties of the turnout. This shows the custom wood blocks, which have a 3/8" hole bored in them with a Forstner bit, and a piece of Luan glued to it. That Luan allows the block to be glued to the underside of the roadbed. Switch has been pre-wired, and two railroad spikes hold the PC board to the wood block.
